What’s Left

So Many days gone.
So much left undone.
So many words let run.
So much regret that there is none.
Nothing left to return.

As the days take flight,
everything turns into night.
Nothing left in sight,
not even what shined so bright.
The guiding light
that kept the step right.
Nothing left, but internal fights.

Until the dust bites,
the storm settles with time’s tides.
With thoughts consumed in terabytes,
leaving nothing but a brain
full of unguided rage and disdain.

Since even if all is forgotten,
nothing is still forgiven.
Even as they fade and become rotten,
those feeling are still grieving.
The day a home became nothing but a ceiling.
